Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is set to hold talks with the club’s chief executive Christian Purslow over his future when he returns from holiday.
The 24-year-old will join up with his team-mates for the first day of pre-season training on Monday and with rumours still strife over his future, it is unclear where the player will be in the coming season.
Reports from Express now claims that the England midfielder will meet with Purlsow to discuss his long-term future with Manchester United still keen on his services. United is expected to step up the pursuit of the player if they can’t strike a deal with Jadon Sancho.
Villa has slapped an £80million price tag on their captain and it will be hard for United to get the player plus Snacho going by the amount of money both teams are asking from the Premier League faints.
It, however, understood that Grealish is keen on a move to Old Trafford with Villa already lining up to take Norwich playmaker Emi Buendia as his replacement.
23-year-old Buendia can play on both wings or as a number 10 and created seven of Norwich’s 26 Premier League goals last term as his team was relegated to the Championship; Norwich expected to ask around £20million for the player’s services.
