Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has vowed to do all he can to convince Edinson Cavani to stay at Old Trafford.
Cavani was influential on Thursday evening as United beat AS Roma 6-2 in the first leg of the Europa League semi-final, netting a brace. Earlier this month, Solskjaer revealed Cavani is still undecided over whether he should extend his stay at Old Trafford or leave.
Cavani's contract with United is set to expire at the end of the current season and is heavily linked with a move to Boca Juniors.
"We want to go through, of course," Solskjaer said.
"Good reaction at half-time. I thought we played some good stuff in the first half as well but we forgot you have to run back as well and you have to run back quick. The second half we did that part better and of course, that creates more opportunities to attack."
"Edinson was excellent. I've said before, he plays as a center-forward should be playing, running the channels, being the focal points, creating chances for others, scoring goals."
"He missed a couple of chances as well, but that is what he is there to do really, if he gets three or four chances a game, he will score two or three goals."
Last month, Cavani's father Luis admitted his son isn't comfortable in England and wants to return home.
"My son does not feel comfortable in England and wants to be close to the family again. Edinson is going to end up playing in South America," said his father.
"Edinson had many conversations with Riquelme and he would like to play for Boca. He was always seduced by the idea of playing in Boca."
