Arsenal is ready to offload Ainsley Maitland-Niles with the club board telling him that he will be available for teams in the summer.
Arsenal made 55 members of their non-playing staff redundant earlier in the week and it has been reported that they are doing all they can to raise funds to bring on players; selling some of their players being one assured way of funding their transfers.
Reports from the UK say that Arteta wants to keep hold of the player who can play in a number of positions but the board have overruled the Spaniard and see Maitland-Niles as surplus to requirements.
Niles who remains the longest-serving player in the current team having joined them at the age of five is valued around £20m and has three years remaining on his current deal.
Apart from Niles, the other players believed to be on sale are Sokratis, Lucas Torreira, Sead Kolasinac, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the current window, while both Shkodran Mustafi and Rob Holding are also available. The club is also eager to do away with Mesut Özil and Matteo Guendouzi.
Maitland-Niles who made 32 appearances (23 starts) in all competitions this season is attracting interest from Everton and Brighton & Hove Albion.
